Abstract: The adsorption properties of Cr( V) on hydrothermal treated rice husks were investigated and theadsorption capacities of rice husks with series treatment time were compared. The results showed that the ricehusk with 4 hours treatment exhibited the best adsorption capacity, being four times that of raw rice husk.Thermogravimetric analysis and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy of the series rice husks demonstratedthat the active hydroxy group on rice husk dehydrated and condensed after the hydrothermal treatment. Theeffects of pH, contact time, initial concentration and temperature on the adsorption capacity were investigated, showing that the adsorption capacity increased with pH decreasing, temperature increasing, initial concentra-tion increasing and contact time increasing, and the Freundlich adsorption isothermal model was well fitted.

Abstract: Through the finite element method, the efect of various factors ( surface course thickness and mod-ulus,functional course thickness and modulus, base thickness, soil modulus and running speed) of semi-rigidbase cement concrete pavement structure with functional course under the vehicle dynamic load on the mechan-ical response was revealed. By using the grey relation analysis, the influence of various factors was given aquantitative analysis.Besides, the formula of the pavement structure mechanical response ( surface deflectiondifference, tensile stress at the bottom of surface course, shear stress on the top of functional course and ten-sile stress at the bottom of base ) were obtained by the regression analysis, which can provide theoretical direc-tion for the structure design and construction of cement concrete with functional course.

Abstract: Cracks and other damage problem are often found in some parts of pre-stressed concrete continuousbox girder bridge, which has a direct iMPact on the usability, durability and security of the bridge. In order tofind out the change regularity of the strength and stiffness for the damaged bridge and provide the basis for thesafely assessment, repair and reinforcement of damaged bridge, the paper establishes the finite element modeland analyzes the strength and stiffness condition under different parameters, such as cracks width, cracksheight and cracks number of the bottom slab of a pre-stressed concrete continuous rigid frame bridge. The a-nalysis result shows that the bearing capacity of the damaged bridge decreases with the increase of crackswidth, cracks height and cracks number. Among parameters of cracks, more cracks width than other two pa-rameters has an effect on the strength and stiffness of the damaged bridge.Cracks height and number affect thebearing capacity of the damaged bridge equally.

Abstract: Gused to be one-dimensional con-solidation test. In fact, lateral drainage of ground will accelerate the dissipation of excess hydrostatic pressureand affect the consolidation settlement. In order to study more practical features of saturated soil consolidationin the two-dimensional drainage conditions centrifuge model test, the centrifuge model box is transformationdesigned. Typical causes of saturated soil in different areas under the two-dimensional drainage conditions ofcentrifugal consolidation tests are studied. It is indicated that,in the centrifugal consolidation force filed con-ditions,the consolidation characteristics of saturated soil with smaller consolidation coefficient was closer totwo-dimensional consolidation theory.Ceotechnical centrifuge model test can provide foundation conditions fora two-dimensional consolidation test of saturated soil.

Abstract: 320 strong motion records of four sites are appropriately selected.Based on energy equations of SD-OF system, the elasto-plastic dynamic analysis program is used to study the effects of characteristics of earth-quake motion on seismic energy response of SDOF system. The study results are obtained as follows;Seismicenergy response, hysteretic energy dissipation and damping energy dissipation increased with the increase ofearthquake magnitude. The medium length period structures subjected to minor shock are depended on damp-ing energy dissipation to consume the seismic energy. And,structures subjected to major shoek are dependanton hysteretic energy dissipation to consume the seismic energy. When the site soil softens, seismic energy re-sponse increases and its amplification also aggravates.Seismic energy spectra of other protected earthquake in-tensity can be obtained by adjusting seismic energy spectra of the standard protected earthquake intensity ac-cording to square ratio of PCA ( protected earthquake intensity ) to PCA ( standard protected earthquake).

Abstract: Based on the mechanism analysis of warm mix asphalt to extend the pavement coMPaction time, theinternal and surface temperature of pavement was ensured during the construction of asphalt pavement. Andthe asphalt pavement temperature values calculated by the software PAVECOOL were coMPared to verify theapplicability of PAVECOOL software. Based on this, according to the ambient temperature in november anddecember of Tianshui and Dingxi, the lowest ambient temperature was obtained for mix hot mix and warm mixasphalt by the PAVECOOL. The results show that the cooling calculation software PAVECOOL can be used topredict asphalt mixture temperature at different time during the construction of asphalt pavement. The Warmmix asphalt can be coMPacted when the lowest ambient temperature is below o ℃.

Abstract: For a construction pit, when ground water is pumped, the ambient ground sinks, and the buildingson it are damaged. The donut-Analysis method is suggested to calculate the surrounding settlement and settle-ment gradient. Then the function between settlement gradient and building loss percentage is put forward. F-nally,a case study is carried out to verify the validity of the suggested algorithm. It is found that with theground water depth increasing, the building loss increases at the same time. How ever, for a particular build-ing,the loss does not always necessarily rise with the increase of water table depth.

Abstract: To combine Cenetic Algorithm ( CA) with Simulated Annealing Algorithm (SA) that the CeneticSimulated Annealing Algorithm (SAGA) was proposed . It had the global searching ability of CA together withthe local fast converging ability of SA. It was applied to the steel truss structural optimization with discrete var-iables and this paper provided the comparison between SACA experiments and other optimal results. The ex-periments showed that the searching optimization probability of SACA was 100% and the average evolved gen-erations is 35 ,which indicated that SACA was more stable and had better seeking efficiency than improvedGA. The SACA improved the local searching ability and overcame evolution slowness defect of CA through ap-plying local searching annealing method. The SACA is an effective method to seek the optimal design of steeltrusses with discrete variables.

Abstract: Fractal interpolation model for evaluation of seismic stability of slopes is proposed.Firstly, six keyfactors are selected as the factors for synthetic evaluation of slope seismic stability. In addition, because of fewstandard samples, fifty standard samples are produced by the way of stochastic interpolation on basis of classi-fication standard;Secondly, through calculating the fractal dimension of single index of seismic stability ofslopes, confirming the fractal dimension exponent evaluation of the index of single slope with the maximumlikelihood classification principle;Thirdly, adopting weighted summation value, this method calculates thelevel of the colligate estimation of multi-index of slope and establishes the fractal interpolation evaluation modelaccording to the relationship between the value of comprehensive evaluation of the samples and the experiencelevel; Finally, ten samples are evaluated. The results show that the fractal interpolation model results are rea-sonable and objective, and they have better reliability and stability so as to provide a new research method andidea for seismic stability of slopes.
