Open Access Statement - Journal of Zhengzhou University (Engineering Science)

Journal of Zhengzhou University (Engineering Science) has been transformed into a fully open access journal since 2018. All articles in this journal are published under the Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial-No Derivs 4.0 ( CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 ) International License. All articles published in the journal since 2018 are open-access, available to readers on the journal’s website ( http://gxb.zzu.edu.cn/ , http://gxb.zzu.edu.cn/en/ ) free of charge immediately and permanently upon publication. Authors and readers may read, download, copy, print, search, obtain a link to the full text of the article, or use them for other legitimate purposes.

Articles published in the journal in 2011-2017 are retrospectively categorized as open access. The copyright of these articles belongs to the Editorial Department of this journal. Readers may use, copy, and distribute them in accordance with the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license agreement.

Articles published before 2010 are not open access, and their copyrights are held by the editorial department of the journal.

2. License Agreement

Journal of Zhengzhou University (Engineering Science) uses the Creative Commons license agreement It permits third-party users to utilize the relevant articles under the terms of the Attribution (BY)-NonCommercial (NC)-NoDerivatives (ND) ( CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 ) International License.

　　Users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes to the articles were made. Users may do so in any reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the journal endorses the use. Users may not use the articles for commercial purposes. If users re-mix, transform, or build upon the articles, they may not distribute the modified articles. The full details of the license are available at:

3. Copyright Policies

The corresponding author should ensure that the submitted manuscript has been approved by all authors and that all authors consent to its submission to the Journal of Zhengzhou University (Engineering Science) , including the agreed author order. All authors of articles published in this journal must sign the Copyright Transfer Agreement transferring the copyright of the article to the Editorial Department of the Journal of Zhengzhou University (Engineering Science). After the article is published, the author retain the following rights:

(1) The author may copy, distribute and use the article under the CC BY-NC-ND 4.0 license, such as using it for non-commercial academic discussion, communication, lecturing, and teaching.

(2) The author may use all or part of the article content in his/her subsequent articles.

(3) The author maintains the trademark and patent rights regarding the article.

(4) The author may use the article for other activities authorized by the Editorial Office.

(5) Manuscripts that pass the final review will be published online first on this journal’s website and the CNKI (China National Knowledge Infrastructure) digital publishing platform. If authors do not agree to the dissemination of their manuscript through electronic media, they must include a statement to that effect upon submission; otherwise, it will be deemed as consent for electronic publication processing.

If the article is not ultimately published in this journal, the signed Copyright Transfer Agreement will be automatically invalidated, and the copyright of the article will still belong to the author.

4. Data Sharing

Data sharing is conducive to the reproducibility of scientific research. This journal encourages authors to share research data, such as raw data, observation records, experimental results, etc. Authors can also share the software, code, models, algorithms, and other materials used in the research. Authors can upload the shared data or materials to an open storage platform ( scientific database ) and provide a link at the end of the paper.
