Journal of Zhengzhou University (Engineering Science) was founded in 1980, formerly known as Journal of Zhengzhou Institute of Technology and Journal of Zhengzhou University of Technology. It is a comprehensive academic journal published at home and abroad sponsored by Zhengzhou University. It is issued on a bimonthly basis (appearing on odd months) .
　　It mainly publishes the latest research results of basic theory, applied research and engineering technology of various engineering disciplines. The Journal publishes articles and letters covering a wide range of fields, including Electronics & Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Water Resources & Hydropower Engineering, Civil Engineering, Traffic engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering,?etc., as well as interdisciplinary fields.
