- Abstract:
- The problem of time delay estimation in wireless location is investigated．In the case of the receivedsignal with the narrow—band and background noises with the Gaussian distribution，a new algorithm of timedelay estimation is presented in terms of the Hilbert transform and the fourth—order cumulant．Correlationpeak is sharpened to improve the accuracy of estimation．Compared with generalized cross—correlated algo—rithm。the proposed approach can suppress the spatially correlated Gaussian noises．The algorithm is of lowcomputation complexity and easy to implement．Simulation results show the effectiveness of the algorithm．
