- 1. Basic situation: The discipline of materials science and engineering is one of the most challenging discipline today. The progress of a country’s overall science and technology is inseparable from the support of the development of materials science and engineering. New materials have become an important symbol of the development of today’s society. The majors of this discipline obtained the right to award the master’s degree in 1986, and now 32 graduate students have been trained. Four professors, 13 associate professors, 17 lecturers, (including 5 doctors). Professor Shen Ningfu, one of the main academic leaders and doctoral supervisors, has jointly trained four doctoral students with Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Science and Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong University, and Southeast University.
