In order to improve the present waterlogging condition of underpass,a scheme of adding a storagepipe in underpass is given.Based on the tube-soil mechanics model,a simulation mechanical model of storagepipe is built,which is analyzed by finite element method. The reinforcement of the storage pipe is calculated,while the influence of parameters on the mechanical property of storage pipe is studied. The test results showthat: the covering earth thickness,the soil base modulus,the wall thickness and the diameter have significantinfluence on mechanical property of storage pipe. According to the research results, a new storage pipe is rec-ommended as follows: covering earth thickness of 1.5 m, soil base modulus of 40 MPa,wall thickness of 10cm and diameter of 1200 mm.
