The llow field charaeteristies and heat transler of the natural ventilation indireet air-cooling tower ir600MW supereritieal thermal power unit were numerieally simulated by Fluent6.3 at diflerent environmenwind speeds. The results indieate that when the wind velocity is 0, the flow field is relatively stable. The healdissipating capaeity and the ventilation quantity are the largest in the air-cooling tower under this condition.With the inerease of wind speed , large changes of the flow field inside the tower have taken place ,at the samtime ,heat dissipation and ventilation quantity showe a trend of deeline. lt can eause an adverse impaet on theoperation of the indireet air-cooling units. The results provide a theoretieal basis for the operation of indireelair-cooling tower in the large power plant unit.
