The corrosion behaviours of T2 copper and 1060 aluminum are compared via pure corrosion and gal.vanic corrosion test in R22 refrigerant and $% HCl, H,$O,, NaOH, and NaCl solution. The results show thatthe pure corrosion speed of copper in all these media is quite low, showing good corrosion resistance, mean.while the pure corrosion speed of aluminum in these media is of great difference, Aluminum in R22 refrigerantshows similar corrosion resistance to copper, and the corrosion speed is only 0. 041 mm a-1. The corrosionspeed in NaCl is 0. 063 mm · a-1. However, the corosion of aluminum in HCl and NaOH is catastrophie.T’he results of copper-aluminum galvanic corrosion show that the corrosion of aluminum is accelerated and thecorrosion of copper is inhibited. Aluminum can replace copper as refrigerator heat exchanger materials, butsurface coating treatment is necessary.
