- Based on the mechanism analysis of warm mix asphalt to extend the pavement coMPaction time, theinternal and surface temperature of pavement was ensured during the construction of asphalt pavement. Andthe asphalt pavement temperature values calculated by the software PAVECOOL were coMPared to verify theapplicability of PAVECOOL software. Based on this，according to the ambient temperature in november anddecember of Tianshui and Dingxi,the lowest ambient temperature was obtained for mix hot mix and warm mixasphalt by the PAVECOOL. The results show that the cooling calculation software PAVECOOL can be used topredict asphalt mixture temperature at different time during the construction of asphalt pavement. The Warmmix asphalt can be coMPacted when the lowest ambient temperature is below o ℃.
