- Abstract:
- Gused to be one-dimensional con-solidation test. In fact,lateral drainage of ground will accelerate the dissipation of excess hydrostatic pressureand affect the consolidation settlement. In order to study more practical features of saturated soil consolidationin the two-dimensional drainage conditions centrifuge model test,the centrifuge model box is transformationdesigned. Typical causes of saturated soil in different areas under the two-dimensional drainage conditions ofcentrifugal consolidation tests are studied. It is indicated that,in the centrifugal consolidation force filed con-ditions,the consolidation characteristics of saturated soil with smaller consolidation coefficient was closer totwo-dimensional consolidation theory.Ceotechnical centrifuge model test can provide foundation conditions fora two-dimensional consolidation test of saturated soil.
