Due to the requirements of seismic design, many masonry walls are equipped with structural columns, which allow the height to thickness ratio limit to change, and the test algorithm needs to be corrected. According to the pressure bar stability theory, the difference between the allowable height to thickness ratio limit of the wall with and without structural column is analyzed, and the allowable height to thickness ratio limit of various types of walls considering the influence of structural column in the current masonry structure design code is calculated and compared, and it is pointed out that when the spacing of the structural column is within a certain range, the allowable height to thickness ratio limit of the wall can be increased by 10%~20%.
