- In this paper, the stiffness matrix of wedge bar with variable section is derived.Based on the principle of finite element displacement method, a program for calculating the reinforced concrete frame with wedge shaped variable section bar is developed by using extended BASIC language.The program can calculate frames with any geometry and support.Output on a computer;① The displacement and Angle of each node line,② the internal force of each rod end (N, Q, M),③ the beam and column section reinforcement.The program has been used in practical engineering design.
