The effect of tungsten on the microstructure and properties of Cr20 high chromium cast iron was studied. The test results show that tungsten elements are evenly distributed in carbides and matrix, and tungsten carbides exist in the forms of WC1-x, W6, C2.54 and CW3. The cast structure is martensite + austenite + carbide. When the mass fraction of tungsten is 1%, the hardness is 56~59 HRC, the impact toughness is 10~12 J/cm2, the wear resistance is 2 times that of tungsten-free, and when the tungsten amount reaches 3%, the impact toughness decreases significantly, but the wear resistance is 2.3 times that of tungsten-free; The sample containing 1.0% tungsten was tempered at 1 050 °C and tempered at 250 °C, the structure was martensite + carbide + a small amount of residual austenite, the hardness was 60~61 HRC, the impact toughness was 8~9 J/cm2, and its wear resistance was 3.0 times that of tungsten free.
