A device suitable for bridge head compaction-RHIC is proposed, and a dynamic model is established. The compaction effect of high-speed hydraulic tamping machine (RHIC) was experimentally studied, and the relationship curve between the number of rammers and the settlement amount and compaction degree of each layer was obtained. It can be seen from the curve that with the increase of the number of rammers, the settlement of each layer also increases rapidly, and the total settlement is the largest when the ramming is 15 times. When ramming 12 times, the overall compaction degree is high, the surface compaction degree is 95%, and the average compaction degree can reach 93%, which basically meets the construction requirements of 1.5 m backfill compaction real-time, indicating that the high-speed hydraulic tamping machine (RHIC) is suitable for bridge abutment compaction, with good tamping effect and deep impact.
